Biography
NEW MUSICS ! Myspace
On January 17th 2003 in Brussels, le collectif barré du Baron5 built up a modern pluridisciplinary spectacle dealing with manipulation across a mad cabaret.
With 6 actors, 3 musicians, 1 dancer and 2 directors, le collectif barré enjoyed a sold out representation in Theatre Marny.
In 2004, Le Baron5 becomes a musical project and the album is recorded in Brussels studio L’île aux singes.
Julien Van Aerschot (composer) asks two musicians to help him with the project: Frédérik Fontaine (double-bass) and Matthieu Stos (drums) lend him their jazzy hands to complete the tune based on the soundtrack from the play
It’s so nice when you’re my toy is definitely conceptual. It mixes electro sounds with troubled acoustic sessions. Fully eclectic, Le Baron5 brings us to a soundtrack giving end to the concept of album.
Featuring:
Julien Van Aerschot (piano, synthesizers, electro beats, 4- tracks, machines, voices)
Fré Fontaine (double-bass and fretless) on 1, 6 and 12.
Mathieu Stos (batterie) on 1, 6 and 12
